I am drawn to the history of aging cars, doors, trains, signs, bottles and many other items. As these items age and wear they become more interesting with increased textures and colors, while revealing something of their past. These old everyday functional objects often reveal the dedication to craft and beauty of their makers not often seen in today’s mass production.
I graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) with a BA in Art History and a Masters of Architecture. I have worked as a licensed architect in both Ohio and North Carolina. I have been working in pastels since 2010 and currently paint in my studio in the River Arts District, Asheville, NC. Please call me for an appointment, 828-545-9025.
