100 Years
The Mural:
Artist Caren Frost Olmsted created “100 Years” for Swannanoa Cleaners at 165 Coxe Avenue. Taken from an actual photograph from the early 1900s, the mural shows two of Swannanoa Cleaners’ delivery men in route to pick-up and drop-off laundry by horse and buggy. The horse used to model for the mural was Kayro, the personal horse of past owner and great-granddaughter of the business’ founder.
